Books: “The Remains of the Day” by Kazuo Ishiguro

 What is love?

What is friendship?

What is missed opportunities?

What is happiness?

What is loyalty?

And above all: What is dignity?

In my humble opinion Mr Kazuo Ishiguro is nothing  less than a genius,  and this, the greatest of the novels  I’ve  read, is alone worth a Nobel Prize. I you haven’t read this, you’re happy as you  have one extraordinary reading experience left.

På svenska heter boken:  “Återstoden av Dagen”

  1. Thanks for the comment!
I haven’t seen the movie although everone says it’s brilliant as I don’t want to distort my “internal pictures”. I can also imagine that the movie is dealing more with the interaction between Stevens and Miss Kenton and the book more about Stevens internal monologue.
